Kurzresümee: Typo3 wird am öftesten verwendet, Systeme auf php Basis sind beliebt.

Nichtsdestotrotz geht es speziell auf Parteienseiten um den Inhalt, und nicht um das verwendete CMS.

Nachdem es jetzt wirklich ernst wird - es ist auch an der Zeit, den Medien geht der Stoff aus - lohnt es sich vielleicht noch ein paar interessante Dinge anzuschauen.

Time out from daily work

Bernhard and me spent an extended weekend in the snow. More precisely in Heiligenblut, the village near the highest mountain in Austria - the Großglockner.

On top of Austria - really a great place - we unpacked our boards and started our snow action: 360s, graps, olis, back flips and more

Thanks to Silvia our host for these days. It was a great time.

RedEnzian at Systems trade fair in Munich

Huhh, early in the morning we drove from Pischelsdorf to Munich by car. Just on austrians national holiday we were going abroad to Germany. A good friend came along with us. After about five hours in car, we reached the ICM Congress Centre.

At the beginning of our tour we saw a PC powered by Solar Energy.

It’s me in front of a “small” touch screen. Just the optimal size viewing land maps.

Who could be that man with the red hat? Ah, it’s Redhat in Linuxland.

Bernhard and me looking for new hardware.

Some Open Source projects were at the Systems too (Ubuntu, Cacti, VirtualBox, X2Go, Samba, Kde, Scalix, …)

RedEnzian surrounded by Open Source. A good feeling.

Vor kurzem hatten wir Besuch von Wirtschaftsbundobmann des Bezirks Vinzenz Harrer, Wirtschaftskammer Regionalleiter Mag. Andreas Schlemmer und dem Wirtschaftsbundobmann unseres schönen Ortes Pischelsdorf Karl Zotter. RedEnzian konnte seine Innovationskraft und Kreativität präsentieren und fand reges Interesse bei den Wirtschaftsfachleuten. Eine Diskussion über den Alltag eines Unternehmers rundeten diesen Besuch ab.

Zend Framework gettext Bugfix

Since we are using Zend Frameworks “Gettext” Adapter for our multilanguage Support, we have found a bug when using it on a 64bit Processors which prevents the import of language files.

This is the official Bugfix for this issue:

Replace the Lines 97-99 from gettext.php with

Zend Framework 1.0.0

A few weeks ago, Zend released the first version of their Zend Framework. After playing around a little bit, we have decided, that we use this framework in one of our next projects.

Why?

The framework uses all the new features of PHP5 and is completly Object Orientated organized. Zend Framework handles a huge amount of the basics we need for the project like connection to different database systems, ACL, caching, multilanguage support and so on.

Currently we use more than the half of the the modules which are given us through the framework.

Extend Binary for Ipcop

Some days ago I had to build an automatic reboot script for d-link access points, because sometimes they were hanging which ends up in slow response times - tested by ping.

So, I looked for expect command on Ipcop, but where? It´s clear, a firewall usually doesn´t need expect. So I compiled one:
